This is certainly a beautifully done book. The color photos are a joy to behold. The information provided with each character is fascinating, as our favorite Vulcan would say, and I am glad to own it. I only gave it four stars because the description is not quite accurate, in my opinion. It says the book has "documented the entire creative process for each one in exhaustive detail, from preliminary sketches to final make-up application". It is far from exhaustive. I was hoping for more information regarding the sculpting, lab work and application of the makeups. It is definitely not a "how to" book and was not intended to be. However it is a stunning book and will inspire the imagination of anyone who dabbles in the makeup arts.
