With Milton Glaser, Mirko has taught advanced design classes at the Cooper Union and currently teaches master's degree classes in illustration at the School of Visual Arts. Steven Heller is the cochair of the SVA MFA Design / Designer as Author + Entrepreneur program. He is the author of many books, including Iron Fists, Paul Rand, Typography Sketchbooks, Scripts, Stencil Type, and Graphic Style Lab. If you love Shakespeare and you appreciate typography and graphic design, this book contains over 1100 Shakespeare posters from all over the world. This is the first time such an extensive compilation has been published, and it is fascinating to compare the graphic interpretations of Shakespeare's works by designers separated by continents and languages.This book is also useful as a tool for teaching graphic design, as an exemplar of many different solutions to the same design problem. It will stimulate classroom discussions of how and why various design decisions were made, and what considerations each designer may have weighed in arriving at his/her solution. I love this book!
