Bandit Love, A Postcard Book: Romance Book Jackets from the 1920's and 30's Details
Sluts, strumpets, and good girls gone bad - the book jackets of romance novels of the 1920s and 30s often featured heroines in the throes of passion, with a capital P. The titles in this set of all-occasion postcards include A Passionate Rebel, The Woman Who Commanded 500,000,000 Men, Love's Ecstasy ("The story of a country girl who followed love's beckoning call to a great city"), Consequences ("In which heedless, cruel young love pays the piper"), Heart Specialist, Gorgeous, Unmarried Couple, Men Are Such Fools, and others. This book contains twenty postcards, two each of ten book covers, and an introduction by the author.
